The One Year Tithe Challenge the Lord says, “Prove Me!”

 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it,” (Malachi 3:10).


God commanded us to “prove Him,” or give Him a challenge concerning tithing. However, many Christians are fearful and lack faith, and others are ignorant or are under wrong teaching, and they do not obey this verse by bringing their tithes and offerings to prove God. The Lord wants to show Himself strong in your life through the same covenant He made with the fathers before us. God proved Himself to them and wants every generation to prove Him in this area too. To do this, the Lord spoke to me to call all of you to the “The One Year Tithe Challenge!” For twelve months, I challenge you to join me on a journey of proving God.


Turning Hearts to the Father

“And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse,” (Malachi 4:6).


This scripture means turning our hearts to the God of our fathers, and to the patriarchal fathers (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob) as well as all true spiritual fathers ordained by God. He is calling you to walk in the same steps of faith Abraham did (Romans 4:12-16). Too many people focus on curses the devil and his evil workers, like witches and warlocks use against them, but forget the curses of God. It’s much weightier when God puts a curse on you because it doesn’t come off until you go back to Him.

“… Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation,” (Malachi 3:7-9). 

“Tithe” means “the tenth,” and is the first 10% of all your increase. The scriptures say the tithe is “holy” and “belongs to the Lord.” The tithe is a consecrated, dedicated, set apart, hallowed, and sacred thing that belongs to God for the purposes He chooses, and not to the person who is paying it or is commanded to pay it.

“And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD,” (Leviticus 27:30).

When you don’t pay tithes, God curses you because you rob Him of what is His. In Malachi God asks, “A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? And if I be a master, where is my fear…” (Malachi 1:6). God was saying the people were robbing Him. Stealing is sneaking behind someone’s back. Robbing is taking it away by force right in their face. God said they came before His face, in His house, and robbed Him because they did not give Him the tithes that belong to Him. Not paying tithes is like the original sin that took place in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve took the forbidden fruit and ate it (Genesis 3:6). Many are eating what belongs to the Lord and are cursed. It is God’s will for you to bring your tithes and He wants you to be blessed and not cursed, but there must be repentance in this area.


Jesus Instituted Tithing in the New Covenant


I know some pastors say tithing is for the Old Testament because it’s under the law. That is a lie. Jesus rebuked the pharisees,

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone,” (Matthew 23:23).

Jesus was saying they were still supposed to tithe in the New Testament, but their focus was wrong. Don’t let pastors or anyone tell you not to tithe! Jesus confirmed tithing when He said, “these ought ye to have done,” and also told the religious leaders they were looking on the outside and omitting God’s heart of faith, mercy, love, and justice. Giving your money to the Lord doesn’t mean you’re giving all of yourself to Him. Giving the tenth without giving of yourself may increase your blessings, BUT NOT GAIN ALL THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU! The Bible says where your treasure is, your heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). You can’t give of what you treasure without giving your heart with it. If you love money and treasure it, you won’t give to God with a pure heart, but when you really love God, you happily give your treasure and are glad to be obedient. God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Tithing is heart-to-heart intimacy with God. It is not a law, but an order of intimacy that Abraham, the father of our faith, walked in.

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all,” (Genesis 14:18-20).

Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek, the priest of his day. Jesus came in the lineage of Melchizedek and the lineage of this priesthood is forever!

“Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:” (Hebrews 7:21).

When believers pay tithes Jesus, Great High Priest, brings them to God!


Jesus Stands Over the Tithe and Offering to Watch What and How People Give

“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury:” (Mark 12:41).


A person’s giving reflects their heart. Jesus stood over the treasury, to behold HOW people’s hearts were when they brought their offerings to God, and He still does! “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever,” (Hebrews 13:8).

Tithing is a Covenant and Vow Rooted in Intimacy and Faith

Before there was ever law or word, Jacob made a covenant with God promising to give Him the land.

“And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee,” (Genesis 28:20-22).

Jacob promised to give God a tenth of what he received from God. Tithing is not under the law it is under relationship! Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob didn’t have the 10 commandments, they had a personal relationship with God and walked by faith. Pastors are saying they have a “new revelation” and were wrong about tithing. No, that is false revelation, because to God, tithing is right!

The Curse of Not Tithing: Promises Left Unfulfilled

It is devastating for people not to tithe. Many are experiencing various areas of bondage in life and are not prospering because they are violating God’s established covenant and promises before He commanded us to pay tithes in Malachi. God wants to bring to pass the promises He made globally, nationally, and to you personally. Some are reading this, who keep talking about, “I had a prophetic dream of a great thing happening, or God is going to do this for me,” but you do not see it happening, because you are not paying your tithes. Tithing is linked to the fulfillment of those promises.

Tithing is Connected to the Fulfillment of Every Dream You Have from God

The tithe is God’s way to increase you, and when you don’t tithe, there’s no increase because there is no covenant! You are not cooperating with what God prophesied He will do over your life in the future. Your love and appreciation to God for what He does for you, is demonstrated when you give Him your first fruits.

When Joshua was leading Israel into the promised land, someone took what belonged to God and they could not enter the promised land (Joshua 6:19). The first battle was in Jericho and its spoils belonged to the Lord, but Achan came into the camp and took them. Before God let them enter the promised land, Achan had to be removed, him and his house were killed, and the spoils were returned to God (Joshua 7:25). Immediately after returning the spoils to the Lord, God told Joshua to continue bringing the people into the promised land (Joshua 8:1-3).

Tithing Out of Thankfulness and Gratitude

In God’s goodness, every morning He gives you breath and provisions to live. However, this generation is so ungrateful and unappreciative, and selfishly struggle to pay God what belongs to Him. They can’t even show their love to Him for giving them the strength to receive money in the first place.

“…And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation,” (Acts 2:40).

Through Jesus, God gave us life, redemption, salvation, and provision. How can we not be thankful and honor Him first with the tithe? This is a crime and very offensive to God. Do not be an evil, perverse, and wicked generation (Matthew 17:17). God can have anything from me at any time because I am so in love with Him, He can have it all! You must get to where you appreciate Him because you are thankful and grateful.

The Attack in the Body of Christ Against Tithes

Some pastors are preaching that tithing is an Old Testament law and is not for New Testament believers, which is a LIE! The covenant of tithes and vows established by Abraham at least 430 years before the law or Old Covenant began (Genesis 14:20, Genesis 28:22, Hebrews 7:1-11). There is a great difference between tithing being incorporated in the law and being introduced by the law.

In the Old Testament, God confirmed His house was called a house of prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7) and in the New Testament, Jesus confirmed it (Mark 11:17). Jesus confirmed the church in the New Testament, and He confirmed the church should be built (Matthew 16:18), then He said, “bring ye all the tithes into my storehouse that there may be meat in my house…” (Malachi 3:10). His “house” is the church! To stop tithing is an attempt to stop the church and God is not going to stop the church for anyone. This false, demonic teaching against tithing today is not only an affront against the church, but also against the Cross of Calvary where Jesus birthed the church through His Blood. It is an offense against God’s economic and financial institution for the way His church should run, exist, and how the gospel should be preached, because finances answer the costs the church needs to be effective in the earth.

“Money answereth all things,” (Ecclesiastes 10:19).

The church is a spiritual entity in the natural realm and must have money (not just food) to do the things of God. Do not listen to world famous TV preachers with massive churches, or anyone for that matter, if they are not preaching the Word of God and the principles of God’s Kingdom, including tithing! If you have been preaching this lie and false doctrine against tithing to God’s people, you need to repent immediately, or He will curse you. God is a Great King, and He requires honor!

“…for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen,” (Malachi 1:14).


My Personal Testimony on Paying Tithes


I know and agree some pastors and leaders have misused the money. Despite lies and accusations, the money here is used to do the will of God. I don’t take the salary I am worthy of because I want the ministry to have more money. I gave up everything three times over including private homes, cars, planes, and a skyscraper, because God told me to. For over 33 years, I have labored and sacrificed to preach the gospel and before God, I can honestly say I’ve never missed paying my tithes. I understand tithing is a covenant and my love, intimacy, relationship, appreciation, and thankfulness to God are demonstrated every time I pay my tithes. As a result, the promises of this covenant manifest in my life!


How To Pay Tithes Giving the LORD Honor Out of a Heart of Love


“A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name,” (Malachi 1:6)

“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:” (Proverbs 3:9).

Love is the foundation of honor, and when God talks about honor, supernatural things happen. Tithing is honor in action. When you pay God His tithes and give offerings, you are honoring Him. You can pay 10 percent, but to tithe, is to pay 10 percent first! It isn’t what you pay, it is how you pay it. God doesn’t care about you following dues by giving 10 percent if you do not give it first! Tithing is following the first commandment and loving Him first!

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment,” (Matthew 22:36-38).


You Can Not Serve Two Masters

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon,” (Luke 16:13).


When money comes into your life, you disrespect God when you pay it at the end instead of at the beginning. God wants you to tithe to Him before you spend it on anything else. He wants you to consider your money as being His and to give Him the first 10 percent! If you do not do it like that you are not honoring Him. Doing it first tells God that He is your source and provider. When you tithe you are proclaiming that the Lord alone is your God! “…the LORD shall by my God.” (Genesis 28:21). Not tithing, tells Him money is your god. People don’t blatantly say, “money is my god,” but when they make excuses for not tithing. They blame their bills and think God will understand when they say they will pay Him later, because their job, life, and money is their god.

“For in him we live, and move, and have our being…” (Acts 17:28).

It was Him who gave you the strength to go to your job and it was also Him who stopped you from being in a wreck to get there! How could anyone be so disrespectful and not honor our Father!? If He withholds His protection from you for just one day, you could be in an accident and won’t be able to go make the money, that some foolishly trust in instead of God.

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy…” (1 Timothy 6:17).

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD,” (Jeremiah 17:5).

You can’t justify not honoring God with the tithe by saying, “I pay more than tithes.” That is not the point with God. He said obedience is better than sacrifice. (1 Samuel 15:22). God established an honor system through tithing in His Kingdom. It is not a freedom of choice democracy where anything goes. We are ruled by an Emperor, and He gives commands and expects them to be obeyed! You can pay 50% of your money to the gospel but if it’s not separated and the first 10% is not paid off the top, you are not honoring God, because what is in your heart matters most and first to Him.

“…for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart,” (1 Samuel 16:7).

The New Testament confirms we are to honor the Lord with the first fruits of ALL our increase by tithing and giving offerings when God prospers us.

let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him…” (1 Corinthians 16:2).

No matter how your increase comes, whether it’s a job, an inheritance, a financial gift, child support, workers comp, unemployment, social security, or anything else, the first 10% is the tithe and belongs to the Lord. You give it to Him in love and honor. That means before you put gas in your car, pay bills, or anything else that serves you first! Most paychecks remove taxes and other government expenditures automatically. However, the true honor tithe comes from your gross income, and not the net income.


Tithing is a Test


Even though God said for us to “prove Him,” we are also being proven or tested by Him. Biblically speaking, “ten” means both tithe and test. Will you pass the tithing test?

• God tested Pharoah’s heart ten times with ten plagues (Exodus 7 – 12).

• There are ten commandments to test hearts (Deuteronomy 10:4).

• God tested Israel in the wilderness ten times (Numbers 14:22).

• Jacob’s wages were changed ten times (Genesis 31:7).

• Daniel was tested ten days (Daniel 1:12).

• Jesus tested the Church of Smyrna for ten days (Revelation 2:10).


The Blessing Testimonies of Tithing


Tithing proves your love, honor, obedience, trust, and faith in God, and brings Him pleasure! God is also happy to release His favor and the covenant blessings and promises to you for your obedience and honor in tithing.

“…without faith it is impossible to please him:” (Hebrews 11:6).

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19)

Obediently tithing leads to God’s promises being fulfilled in your life. When we tithe, He does things in return! Malachi 3:8-12 Explains the promises God will fulfill through the tithe:

I will open the windows of heaven: There will be open heavens over your life and God will give you divine ideas, protection, dreams, warnings, answered prayer, and more!
I will pour out a blessing: Tithing unlocks divine favor and God’s power to produce in every area of your life. Including wisdom, concepts, ideas, opportunities, and prosperity by implication. The curse pushes you back, but the blessing pushes you forward!
There won’t be enough room to receive it: There is expansion in every area! When you receive and act on the blessing with actions of faith there won’t be enough room to contain what God has given you!
I will rebuke the devourer for your sake: God will prevent loss by theft, fraud, sabotage, industrial action, and setbacks. This covenant causes the Father to send His rebuke to the enemy (John 10:10) and allows God to deliver you from evil (Matthew 6:13). Tithing unlocks divine protection. “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries,” (Exodus 23:22).
I will protect the fruits of your ground: No matter what business you have, God will prevent the devil from messing it up.
I will protect your crop’s harvest time: He will deal with your vine or sources of income and ensure that your crop will not be dumped before time.
•You will be known as blessed: God will promote you and establish your reputation in the earth for being blessed!

We must recognize God gives us the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8: 17–18). When you exclude biblical principles, it’s not long before you are destroyed by the devourer.


Satan Fights the Tithe Because He Knows the Power of its Covenant in An Obedient Child of God


The enemy knows the power of tithing, but many Christians have wasted time in obeying and understanding its importance and have suffered for their lack of knowledge. They should know it more than Satan! Read this testimony from an ex-satanist about how Satan trains witches and warlocks and assigns them to attack believers in tithing:

“The second assignment is to create dullness during offerings and tithes. This is also related to the third and fourth commandments of Satan. Satan is behind dulling your senses to try and keep you from being obedient in this area!


Face to Face Visitations from Jesus to Heaven and Hell about Tithing

Testimony #1 – WARNING:  Stop Stealing from God – Pay Your Tithes & Offerings


Jesus’ Warning In A Visitation For Christians Who Are Withholding Giving Their Tithes And Offerings: You Are Stealing From God And Will Go To Hell! He Said No Unrepentant Thieves Will Get In Heaven…

This young man was taken to the “room of the future dead” and was warned about going to hell for withholding God’s tithes!

“In this dream I opened my eyes in a dark room and a light bulb came on and I saw my brother, sister, and my uncle in this place. It looked like a cellar with dark cylinder block walls. I knew where I was… I was in hell at a place called, “THE ROOM OF THE FUTURE DEAD.” This is a place where God shows the life of people on earth who are dead to Him spiritually and are presently on their way to hell, which is where they will end up if they don’t change and repent for the things that are leading them there.. I asked my brother, “why are you here?” He said, “I had a heart attack.” I asked my sister, “why are you here?” She just looked away like she was ashamed. I asked my uncle the same thing and he looked away just like my sister. Then I SHOUTED, “WAIT! WHY AM I HERE LORD?!” The Lord said softly, “Because you withheld tithes.” There were church people in this place. It was bigger than it looked. They were telling people “Go this way if you want to get out.” But everywhere they went was just as bad. Suddenly, I was in another place, it looked like a shopping mall. This lady was there trying to buy anything her child wanted. She had fire all over her back. She was burning up and didn’t know it! I fell on my knees and asked God to forgive me for withholding His tithes. Suddenly, I woke up in a lobby of an office building. There was a woman looking over me… she got scared and said, “you were dead! How is this?? I told her, “Don’t tell me this foolishness about when you die you just go back to the universe or energy. If you are not right with God, you’re going to hell…! I woke up Repenting.”

You must repent now for robbing God’s tithes and offerings. Be obedient and pay Him what belongs to Him…

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor THIEVES, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God,” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).


Testimony #2


A man who died was taken to heaven and hell for seven days, was raised from the dead after the seventh day. During the seven days, the Lord told him that even pastors must pay their tithes personally and from their churches. Jesus gave him four points that are required to enter eternal life: 1.) Be born again. 2.) Forgive. 3.) Must pay tithes. 4.) Fulfill vows!!


Testimony #3 – Angelica Zambrano’s 2nd visit to Heaven & Hell


Among all those people (in Hell), I heard someone saying, “I ask for your forgiveness now Lord because I have stolen from you, forgive me for stealing, I stole from you Lord, and I do not want to do it again.” I asked, “Lord, who is he and why does he say he stole from You?” “My child I will show you who he is.” We entered his cell and I saw a disfigured man. The flames opened and I could see that he was being tormented. All those people who are in hell have a plaque on their chest, and 666 on their forehead.
This man extended his hand and said, “Lord, forgive me.” I asked, “Why are you here?” He replied, “I’ll tell you my story. I was a Christian leader, for 20 years I had known Christ, but during the 20 years, I said: all that money from my tithing and offerings were just to sustain the pastors, but now I regret it because I understand and I know that it wasn’t for them, it was for the Lord, and that is why I say I have stolen from God. At this very moment, there are many people on Earth that are robbing the Lord as I did.

When you return to Earth, tell all those people who don’t want to give their offerings and tithes, not to steal from the Lord, otherwise, they’ll wind up in Hell, and no thief will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I knew the Holy Word, now I regret it and realize I robbed the Lord.” (Malachi 3:8) He said, “Tell the people when they give to God, give the Lord with true love.” (2 Corinthians 9:7) This man kept pleading, “Lord forgive me,” and the Lord replied, “It is too late, there is no opportunity for you.”


Tithing Testimony – Oral Roberts University Built Through Tithing


During one of my virtual online miracle crusades, Richard Roberts, the son of Dr. Oral Roberts, came and ministered on healing. Dr. Oral Roberts pioneered the healing gospel in our country and built an outstanding first-class Christian university known as Oral Roberts University (ORU). His son Richard carries the healing legacy of Jesus Christ that his father left on the earth. Here is an amazing excerpt from Dr. Roberts classic book called Seed Faith on how God taught him about the blessing of tithing and the breakthrough he received when he was obedient.

“Evelyn and I came into agreement that we would tithe consistently, thankfully, and joyfully, and we would expect God to open the windows of heaven and pour out ideas on us like He had on R. G. LeTourneau. Oral Roberts University, with its more than seventeen thousand graduates, became one of the great ideas God poured into our lives. Everything we’ve built and done for the Lord has happened through our obedience and agreement to tithe by sowing our seed— getting into giving and receiving. We have done our best to listen for His ideas, concepts, and insights and carry them out by our faith!”


Tithing Statistics –  Numbers Prophesy and Do Not Lie


The Lord’s tithe has been ordained for purpose, including the following:

1. To take care of and provide for the priests (Numbers 18:21-24).
2. To supply God’s House (Malachi 3:10).
3. To fund the Gospel, giving the world the opportunity to hear and receive eternal life (Mark 16:15-16).
4. To feed the poor, widows, fatherless, and strangers in the land (Deuteronomy 14:27-29; Deuteronomy 26:12-14)

There are many curses on the earth that Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection already conquered, and we should be walking in that victory. As Christians, we must see what we are responsible for not doing our part to be salt and light and preservation like God called us to. “… so the curse causeless shall not come,” (Proverbs 26:2). According to one study, Christians attending church in America, are collectively giving 2.5%, way below 10% of the tithe. If everyone who came to church or professed Christianity in their life tithed, an extra $200-$300 billion dollars would be added each year! Do you know what could be accomplished with this type of support? It is staggering.

• $1.8 billion could reach inmates with the gospel in 1,800 prisons.
•$15 billion could provide homes for the homeless in America.
•$5.6 billion would enable adopting every orphan to a proper home in America.
•$1 billion to train 20,000 new laborers for the harvest.
•$25 billion and 5 years would relieve global hunger and provide clean water – averting death in preventable situations.
•$12 billion would globally eliminate illiteracy in 5 years.
•$15 billion would solve worldwide water and sanitation issues.
•$10.8 billion would free 27 million people living in slavery.
•$2.5 billion would fully fund publishing the gospel in each language.

These stats are from the tithe and do not include the offerings! However, since many Christians are disobedient in paying tithes and being faithful to God, which causes curses on the earth. We blame the world, but God gave us the power to be the salt and the light! Most importantly, the tithe would fund preaching the gospel affording everyone the chance to hear the good news, to believe it, and to be saved.


Take the One Year Tithe Challenge and Prove God


I am challenging you to do what God says and “Prove Him!” Be faithful in giving God all His tithes for twelve months. Why a year? Because it takes a tree one year to bear fruit. I am challenging you to step out in faith and believe Him! I’m calling:

1. Every person reading this letter to tithe from their personal income
2. Spouses: Even if your spouse is being disobedient to honor God with tithes, you must step out in faith and do your part and tithe, for the sake of your household.
3. Pastors/Ministers: You should be tithing from your personal income, and corporately from the church. The tithe should be offered to the Lord so the blessing can be on your church.
4. Business owners: God wants you to tithe personally and corporately from your business so He can bless you.

It is time to return to God so He will return to us and pour out His blessings! God loves and longs to see you prosper and be blessed, but it must be done His way.
