We have just entered the month of Elul – the last month of the Jewish year and a very significant time on God’s calendar leading up to the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Elul is the month of repentance, preparation, and intimacy with God!

Known as the month when “the King is in the field,” Elul is a time of repentance, preparation, and visitation! When the King is in the field, He is most approachable. Rather than going through traditional royal protocol and having to approach the King at His throne, He is humbly meeting you where you are for the next month! Take advantage of this time and accept His invitation, seeking Him while He may be found! “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:” (Isaiah 55:6). The Lord is near and His heart is open to your prayers of repentance! As He is in the field, God is giving us the opportunity to cultivate and prepare our hearts for the new season and harvest of the coming year. The King is seeking you out now. He is saying, “I am near. I am available. Come to me, and I will meet you where you are.” Will you meet Him in the field? Call 1-877-843-4567 NOW to agree in prayer for your Elul blessing. Favor, breakthrough, and divine intimacy with God is your portion! ~David E. Taylor~

THE TIMES AND SEASONS OF THE LORD

The Bible says there was a tribe among the Jewish people which said…

“The sons of Issachar had understandings in the times and seasons of the Lord to know what Israel ought to do …” (1 Chronicles 12:32)

THIS IS THE TIME WE ARE IN NOW – READ

THE MONTH OF ELUL

A Time of Visitation …

“The King is in the Field”

Aug / Sept

“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you,”(Hosea 10:12).

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon,” (Isaiah 55:6-7).

COMMENTARIES:

Tradition holds that Elul is the month in which the king is in the field. At this time, the king is said to be most approachable, receiving anyone who wishes to meet with him with a smiling face and radiant countenance. Imagine the scenario: the common worker in the field, who sees the king as inaccessible and far removed, never expects that he will see or speak to him face-to-face in his own domain. Then one day, while the worker is engrossed in his menial tasks, he feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns around and, to his astonishment, sees the king standing above him! The surprise and awe felt by the laborer in the field is comparable to that which many will feel when King Jesus suddenly appears to reap the harvest of the earth.

The Month of Elul is a very special time on God’s calendar. Since Ancient Israel, it has been a month of intimacy established by God’s mercy.

Elul is known as the month “the King is in the Field.” This means that instead of having to approach the King in his normal palace upon the throne and having to go through all of the traditional customs and royal protocols, in this month, the King comes down off from His high place and humbly comes out of the palace to meet with his people. It states that the King comes into the field… to meet his people face to face and to inspect the Harvest.

It is the final month on the Jewish Calendar before Rosh Hashanah and the Feast of Trumpets.

  • It is a month characterized by:

    • -Forgiveness

    • -A time of visitation… where you can approach Him!

    • -A time of introspection and repentance before Rosh Hashanah

-A time of seeking to please God

-A time to draw close to God while He is near

-The time of the bride; right relationships

-A time to repent before judgment falls

-A turning point, a time of change

    -A time of Harvest

-A time God inspects the Harvest
