DAY 67:

“Let Your Words be Few..

As you know, I have had many visitations and appearances from Jesus, and I want to remind you that He is a man of few words. Some people think that when Jesus appears to them that He is going to talk a lot, like they or people they know do, but He does not!! Jesus speaks by sentences, statements, or by explanations to make a point. From what I have seen, being face to face with Jesus, He talked more when He walked the earth than He does now. He even said,

“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the price of this world cometh, and hath nothin in Me,” (John 14:30).

Jesus was saying that after this point, He would be limited in how much He spoke with the disciples, compared to before. This is also applicable to us today. One of the reasons Jesus said this was because Satan was about to come against Him. Which is what happened during Jesus’ trial, persecution, and crucifixion. Another reason is because Jesus is meek. Meek people do not speak unnecessarily and they know when not speaking at all is wisest.

“… let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak…” (James 1:19).

Jesus IS the Word of God and the Bible admonishes us to let our words be few.. Let this same character and personality trait be developed in you, because the Bible also tells us that in the multitude of words, or when we talk too much, sin is present.

“In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise,” (Proverbs 10:19).

Let us follow after Jesus’ pattern and personality and let meekness and wisdom be evident in our few words too..!
