DAY 269:

“Jesus doesn’t regret doing God’s will to save YOU.. Even if you haven’t always acknowledged or fully appreciated His unfailing LOVE for you.. He came to SAVE and He always will! It is who He is!!

Unlike the Lord, people often regret being kind or helping others when they don’t feel they are adequately reciprocated for their “goodness,” but that’s only because of immature and impure motives.

Have you ever received a gift from someone, and they watched what you did with it? In other words, there were strings attached? Maybe someone gave you a car, and you let your son or daughter take it to the store for groceries and the person who gave it to you saw them and expressed their disappointment that you let someone else drive it?? Or you received a new sweater and saw someone else had a greater need than you did and you gave them the sweater.. and the giver saw it on the other person and was upset. I know these things seem so silly, but this type of immaturity runs rampant in families, workplaces, and ministries..

Not to be cliché, but what do you think Jesus would do?

‘I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive,’ (Acts 20:35).

Many of you reading this are parents, and there are few things that please you more than when you see your children being kind to one another and to others. When you see them giving up something they love to help others, it does your heart so much good! That is how the Father and Jesus respond when we give of ourselves to help or to meet the need of another person. He is pleased when we are vessels and expressions of His love and His goodness, and don’t look for anything in return.

The Kingdom of God is upside down compared to the world… In God’s family, you die to live and give to receive! Don’t conform to the culture of this world, develop the heart to give without conditions or limitations..!”
