DAY 142:

“I suppose most people have and will continue to quote this very famous scripture for many years to come. However, it’s not about how well we can quote scripture, it’s about how well we apply it to our lives, and see its power activated in all we do!

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life,” (Proverbs 4:23).

• Strong’s Definition of Keep H5341: A primitive root; to {guard} in a good sense (to {protect} maintain {obey} etc.) or a bad one (to {conceal} etc.): – {besieged} hidden {thing} keep ({er} {ing}) {monument} {observe} preserve ({-r}) {subtil} watcher (-man).

• Strong’s Definition of Diligence H8104: a guard (the {man} the {post} or the prison); figuratively a deposit; also (as observed) a usage ({abstractly}) or an example (concretely): – {diligence} {guard} {office} {prison} {ward} watch.

Friends, what are you doing to “keep” your heart with all diligence? Many people are concealing their hearts instead of guarding them. The truth of the matter is, our hearts our not hidden from God’s view.. Remember, man looks at the outer appearance, but God looks on the heart.

You don’t have to pretend that you are in a place with God that you are not, but don’t give up, because you can be!! Stop concealing and doing it all on your own, it is time to let God in!! Guarding your heart can only be done with His help! The answers are in the relationship and in His Word!! When you get this understanding, you will know when your thoughts contradict keeping your heart with all diligence. I love you and I am praying for your faith to be strengthened as you “keep your heart above all..!” David E. Taylor
